DC Online Empty DC Online

So Sam's in the beta for DC Online

He's just gotten through the intro to the game. I'm watching him play, but not too jealously, because it looks like it's a little crazier and higher-action than I'm used to. I'll stick with World of Warcraft. Smile

The graphics look pretty nice. They got capes right.

Anyway, that's all. He's pretty excited to be able to check this game out for free.

Your not really supposed give much info about a game if your in the beta. Even saying stuff like "it has capes" could get you in trouble. I'm in it too but with Cata out I kind of forgot about DC. I didn't like it too much.

No, more like he could lose his spot in the game and actually yes, they can sue you for breach of contract. You should take it more seriously.

If I'd signed a contract, maybe.

How long 'till you pass the bar?

You do sign a contract. You agree to certain stipulations when you agree to beta. Drop the sarcasm please.

It's all right there. There IS a Confidentiality clause btw.

She isn't the one who's signed any contracts, Sam however did in order to get into the game. In my experience most of these closed beta's have the confidentiality clauses since the game at this point is substantially different then what they will be selling when the game releases and they want to control both good and bad publicity.

I wouldn't be surprised though if someone related to in any way of a person who IS in a BETA says something considered against the Confidentiality clause, they hold it against said person in Beta, after all the other person wouldn't know about the game if the person in the Beta hadn't said or shown anything. I've got a friend whose all crazy for the DC game who kept telling me I couldn't even tell people I was in the Beta, period.

Yes it would be Sam who gets in trouble if the worst came to pass. Based off conversations in the past with game designers I was guilded with while I played WoW they don't pay too much attention until it gets to specific details about the game. The only thing that may draw a slap on the wrist is the talk of cloaks but I don't think so as it falls more into the "the game is pretty to look at" instead of a break down of the mechanics for leveling or other such crap.
