I am. I have dough left over, though, so assuming it lasts until Saturday, I'll try to remember to bring them next week.

Sure thing. Although I use a bread maker, and I understand that doing it without requires more skill.

We have a bread maker, we've just never used it. That oatmeal (?I think) bread that James brought a piece home of a couple weeks ago was amazing!

Re: Game Tonight (6/18)
The recipe books I get most of my bread recipes out of are 'Bread Machine Magic' and 'More Bread Machine Magic'. They're very good beginner books, because they talk about how to successfully make bread, what ingredients are better to use, etc. Most of the recipes I've made out of those books have been pretty good.

I took some culinary classes at ARC and it is a pain getting the yeast right in my experience. I have found that my favorite is baking though. I am looking forward to seeing the books.

I've had no trouble getting the yeast right. I get those little glass jars of yeast, and add however much the recipe tells me to add, and it's all good. The yeast lasts forever in the refrigerator -- literally years.

I learned the hard way that the water just has to be right or you cook them. Never got yhe chance to make sourdough though. Made some really good french loafs and muffins.

Re: Game Tonight (6/18)
With a bread machine, that's not an issue. You put the flour in last and make a little divot in the top of the flour, and put the yeast in that.

Sounds much easier then doing it with a mixer.

Oh yeah. Bread machines are easy. Ingredients go in, bread comes out.
