Non Vampire game tonight

Yes there is game tonight. It's not vampire though. Other wise its the same location same start times etc.

The votes aren't all in yet, but the two options for game tonight are Amber, or 2nd Ed D&D.

If you're going to play Amber, show up with your game face on. As Dark and Evil as world of darkness is....it's only about half as dangerous as Amber.

Amber is a game where people do work together. It's just, at any given moment, and usually for a good reason, that can change. It's not D&D where alignment influences your actions, but rather a game where you are motivated by your own personal goals.

Unlike Vampire, where your actions should be dictated to some degree by your Nature/Demeanor and path, there is no such system in amber.

Of course, some people will see that in the worst light possible, and assume it means chaos, betrayal left and right, and a game that is all about PVP instead of about questing....but they'd be wrong.

But thing is it totally could be since you have no alignment or nature or demeanor to stick to right?

Scott, why are you so worried about it?

We played amber last night, and our characters quickly became friends. We're cautious around each other, but we found common ground quickly and to my knowledge no one plotted the demise of another.

Though I did do my best to convince some doctors that my furry friend needed to be shaved from head to toe, and that he looked like a half man half panther because he was mutated by radiation. Hehehe but it wasn't to get him killed, it just tickled my funny bone to know he might end up hairless.

Having the option to betray someone doesn't mean it will happen Scott. Also, though I don't think you mean to be rude, it kinda sounds offensive when you think we're the sort of bully cutthroat kinda crowd that would butcher you just cause we can. If someone gets betrayed in Amber, there is almost always a good reason, and even if it's not a good reason it's still never a random or unjustified decision.
